Network «Re-mediating the early book: pasts and futures»
Quaternio Verlag Luzern is proud to be a selected “Industry Partner” in one of the renowned Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Networks: “Re-mediating the Early Book: Pasts and Futures (REBPAF)”. This fascinating project, which explores the medieval media transition from handwritten to printed books, is funded by the European Union, the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research, and Innovation, and UK Research and Innovation.
As an “Industry Partner,” we offer a doctoral student from the University of Zurich the opportunity to gain practical experience outside the university and learn about the diverse tasks and processes involved in a publishing house that specializes in the publication of facsimile editions of medieval manuscripts that are faithful to the originals.
The publishing house itself does not receive any financial support for this project. Rather, the value lies in the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the exchange of knowledge between science and industry and to strengthen the dialogue between research and practice through this cooperation. It is precisely this practical relevance that is often neglected in everyday student life.
